I'll never forget my first time flying into New York's JFK Airport back in 1986. It was dark inside and dark outside as the plane started banking at a steep angle to begin its approach to the runway. All you could see out the window was a sheer drop down to the huge expanse of the city stretching out below. I'll never forget that magical first glimpse of the New York City.
And I'll never forget the song that was playing on my headphones at the time. It was Superman by R.E.M.
